Watchmoor Fish

12.04.21

Last week we received a delivery of 3000 fish to live in the two lakes at Watchmoor Park. There are five different species including bream and roach. The fish who are all aged between 1-4, will help cleanse and clean the water in the lakes. They will form part of the small habitats and ecological systems, helping to keep the water clean and safe for other wildlife.

This initiative is part of Watchmoor Park’s effort to create new wildlife habitats on the park making it a nicer place to spend time. There are a number of seating areas situated around the parks for people to enjoy on their breaks or after work. Perfect as the days get warmer and we head into summer.

We will keep an eye on the fish to make sure they are settling in well and it goes without saying, please avoid fishing in the area.
