Watchmoor Park hosted a festive Christmas event this week with free coffee, mince pies and sausages rolls for employees working on the Park.
There were stalls in Building 3 for employees to catch up on their Christmas shopping and employees were given the opportunity to drop presents off for the charity, KidsOut, as Building 3 became the collection point for the charity’s Giving Tree 2018 campaign.
The Giving Tree initiative encourages companies to ditch the traditional ‘Secret Santa’ and buy toys for children in local refuge homes instead.
A large number of toys were donated by employees on the Park which will now be sent off to provide children who have escaped domestic violence, often being forced to flee their homes quickly and leave their possessions behind. Without Giving Tree, these children may not otherwise receive a gift at Christmas.
